About

Approved Guides is written and checked in France by one French author, for Americans moving to France.

If you are reading this with a refusal letter on the table, or a lease signed and an appointment not yet booked, this site was written for that week. It does one thing: turn the official requirements (France-Visas, ANEF, service-public.fr, the Journal officiel) and the refusal patterns reported by relocation practitioners into checklists, templates and written reviews that a consular agent can read in a few minutes. Every figure is sourced and dated; the yearly ones are flagged and re-checked when they move. The author is not a lawyer, does not represent anyone, and says so on every page. When a case needs a lawyer, the page says that too.

Why no name on this page yet? Approved Guides is one person, not a team or an agency. The company is being registered in France as a sole proprietorship; the publisher's details will appear on the Legal page as soon as the registration is complete. Until then, check the method rather than the byline: every figure is dated and points to its official source, the full sample report is downloadable, and every page says what it is and what it is not. Questions, corrections and suggestions: reply to any email from us, or write to approvedguides.contact@proton.me.
